Today, June 11, 2019, Jose Antonio Martín, manager of Agromartín, has signed a declaration of intentions with the vice president of the Huelva Provincial Council, María Eugenia Limón, which reflects the commitment to work together to promote personal and social development in places of origin, of the women coming from Morocco who are currently working in the strawberry collection campaigns in the company.
The vice president visited the facilities where workers who move to the strawberry campaign, from Morocco, Bulgaria and Romania, live.
The social commitment of Agromartín with its workers has led the company to develop different actions in recent campaigns to integrate its different workers, with the aim of promoting equality, diversity and full integration of these women, encouraging them to express their cultural identity and enjoy a pleasant and enjoyable coexistence during your stay.
The vice president thanked Agromartín that along with the improvement and care of the working and personal conditions of the temporary workers during their stay in our province “has put on the table this initiative that also wants to improve their quality of life in their countries of origin , equipping them with the necessary tools so that they can create wealth and employment in their own municipalities.
For his part, Jose Antonio Martín has highlighted “the excellent relationship” with the Diputación de Huelva, which has always supported the initiatives of agricultural companies in the province of Huelva.
This initiative is the first stone of the construction of this project that starts with the intention of improving the quality of life of these workers in their areas of residence, providing them with the necessary tools so that they can create wealth and employment in their own municipalities, without need to emigrate.
